Excellent, Reinhold! The light off the road along with the atmospheric light does match your title well (or should that be the other way around?)
And I like the format. I have not split my 5x7 (using a modified darkslide is how I would go about it.) I do so with 8x10 and 11x14, which when split give similar proportions to the 6x17 if I got my math correct. Perhaps I will give 2.5x7 a go one of these days.

Bryce Canyon a couple years ago. 4x5 with a 90mm Super Angulon. Should have used a little fall instead of pointing the camera down to keep the trees vertical. Did use some front tilt to alter plane of focus.

I like the trees -- it gives a feeling that the light is exploding out of the canyon.

Thanks.
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Impressive scenes in Bryce Canyon and Grand Canyon. Definitely places to go with an LF outfit.

Shrine of St. Anthony in Maryland with Wista 45, Nikkor 90 f8 and Fuji Pro 160NS. Used rear tilt to make the chairs look larger, but lost some focus in the distance. I can't remember if I tried front tilt to counter it.
