www.chamonixviewcamera.com got a face lift
The new website looks quite good, visually more impactful and loads better on my phone. Very nice work!

Note the warning on www.chamonixviewcamera.com.
Apparently there is a usurper of Chamonix.
Important Notice: The eBay store that sells Chamonix cameras is run by a local dealer in Beijing, China, who is not authorized by the Chamonix View Camera Company to sell its products overseas.
Re: www.chamonixviewcamera.com got a face lift
Hugo has warned us off thee usurper many times.

Interesting that a wet plate holder is considered a best seller.

I own their 11x14. Very nice...getting use to it.
I'd love a 5x7 based on their horizontal-only model if they made it able to go vertical also. Actually I'd like a mix of Chamonix and the non-folding 5x7 by Shen Hao, which is also hotizontal only.

I am using a 5x7 Eastman View No.2, and except for its lack of front movements, I like the ease of use of a non-folding camera.

Curious why they can't stop this from happening.
Re: www.chamonixviewcamera.com got a face lift
Probably because Hugo doesn't sell through eBay and people like eBay for the "buyer protection". And the eBay store must have sold quite a lot (based on their 1000+ feedbacks), it's not nice but not illegal.
Re: www.chamonixviewcamera.com got a face lift
Hugo has stated the eBay Chamonix products have no factory warranty.
I prefer factory support.

Since when they need authorization to sell anything? I don't think they adhere to any kind of business protocol that we do in the West.

Where is the eBay store getting new Chamonix cameras?
