Thanks! It was interesting having the big lake next to the dunes. Everything got cancelled this year and has been moved to 2021 so hopefully I'll have a festival or two. I'm seeing this one in a more 3:1 composition - take off a bit at the top perhaps.
PS: Bruneau is apparently the tallest single dune complex in the country.

Ha, for once I'm not for cropping--I think symmetry is the name of the game here, with the sky playing an important structural element...the cloud deck works so much better than if you'd only a clear sky to work with. I'll be interested in others' input.

I'll have to see how it looks on the baseboard! :)

I agree. The darkening of the sky along the top helps to complete the image. I'd say, don't crop, it's very interesting as it is.

You fared better than I. I stopped there for a night once, with high hopes. Went over to the dunes with the dog and the wind picked up to probably 30+ mph. Back to the campground. There was only one other camper there, arrived early for a star party. He insisted the dog and I visit him in his trailer and, when he found out I knew some math, regaled me about Fourier series and astronomy for well over an hour!
