It is very lovely picture. How do you get so even pour? It looks very close to perfect.

Thanks! I think right now my chemistry is just dialed in. The collodion pour definitely had some waves in it from a lack of solvents and the breeze also helping to dry it too fast.
For the developer, just the right amount of alcohol, maybe. I use a 50mL beaker that has some headroom and probably put 60mL in it per plate. On this particular one when I saw the developer wave cover the plate I thought, wow that went way better than expected.
Re: Collodion - Wet Plate Images
60mL is a lot of developer for a 8x10 plate. i use about 50mL for 11x14

Ah yeah. I have been told the same before. There is usually some developer left in the cup after the pour. My buddy says he gets away with 30mL per 8x10 but I've yet to try it. Guess I'll have to. Thanks!

watch this video from 4:21
the minimal amount of developer used, and when i use this development technique with very aggressive agitation my plates are super bright. the more developer u use the duller your silver will be
u dont need to worry about covering the whole plate with the initial pour cuz youll get it with the agitation

this one is a burnished ambrotype. the scan is tricky but the finish is distinctly silver https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5d68c1666c.jpg
