Omega Super Chromega D Dichroic II on D2
I'm looking to switch from the condenser head on my Omega D2 to an Omega Super Chromega D Dichroic II. However, I'm aware the lift arms are different for the condenser head and the dichroic head (according to KHB selling each arm sets as separate part numbers). Is there anyone that has done this with a D2? The $320 price tag is too much for me to justify, so I'd likely try to come up with a diy solution if the arms are in-fact different. Thanks.

I don't have the dimensions off hand but they are SAE and my hardware store (in the USA) had the rods. I already had the hacksaw and SAE Allen wrenches. I used some locking collars instead of the slide-on spacers. The rest of the hardware (arms etc) will be re-used with the longer rotating rods.

You can find them on eBay pretty often.
Re: Omega Super Chromega D Dichroic II on D2
I think that the major difference is that the axle shafts are longer to hold the dichroic head; I believe that the four actual lifting arms are the same. It's been a decade since I had multiple examples of each type in the darkroom though; ic-racer's method sounds logical to me.
I do remember that the offset weight of the color head will cause those lifting arms to slip on the axles over time, so make sure you can adjust them.

Okay great, yeah both the condenser arms and the dichroic arms on KHB say theres a 3" offset I just wasn't sure what was actually different. But that's great, I can handle modifying the axle shafts. Much appreciated everyone!
