Re: how large (or small) are your prints?
I make mostly nominal 11x14 prints from 4x5 negatives. I could go as big as 16x20 in my darkroom but haven't had the occasion to undergo the expense and nuisance factor of doing so.
I've occasionally made 4x5 salt prints, which can be very nice with the right negative.
Re: how large (or small) are your prints?
My prints are mostly 5x7" to 8x10", i've been contact printing a lot (relativily speaking) lately.
Re: how large (or small) are your prints?
I contact print and when not shooting wet plate only print in Pt/Pd or Pt/Pd--Gumovers. The sizes range from 10 x 12, 7 x 17 and 20 x 24.

Re: how large (or small) are your prints?
If it's printing for pleasure, often not bigger than a 7x9.5" image area on 9.5x12" paper (though I do really like 9x12cm contact prints - and much more so than 4x5); printing for pay usually involves working on a different scale entirely.
Re: how large (or small) are your prints?
The largest prints I made thus far are 50x60cm from 6x7 negatives, landscapes Patagonia. I cannot go larger yet because of my trays which can’t handle larger. But I found it quite an adventure to print that big, the amount of liquids, the taps you need to fill the trays, etc, etc. What I was worrying about the most, was whether the images would remain straight behind the glass, I do conventional photo wooden frames, no hightech pressing or glueing to foam or aluminium plates. It turned out well though the photo’s on Bergger fiberbased paper stay perfectly flat.

Large prints can be powerful too! :)
I looooove large prints. I doubt I'll ever have a darkroom again so can't do wet process, but as mentioned I can still have machine prints made.
The next question is "What the heck do you do with them?" I have them stored under beds and rolled up in tubes, plus a few on the wall but I only have so much wall space :D I used to sell a lot off my web site but that's died in recent years, and also I'm not into exhibiting these days either, too expensive and too much work for loo little return.

Great question!
I have a friend who sells prints, mostly of people fly fishing. Anything else he mounts and frames for his house for a while. Then he changes out the print (these are inkjets, mind you), and takes the old print to the library (he's in a small town) and thumbtacks it to the community bulletin board for anyone to take! Here's my story: https://www.greggwaterman.com/post/w...-do-with-those I just put the prints in the frame with no mat or glass. Then I change the prints every few months.
Re: how large (or small) are your prints?
Everything goes onto 8x10 photographic paper.
8x10 contact prints have an image area of19.3cm X 24.7cm.
Rectangular pictures from 4x5, 67, and 68 formats have an image area of 16.3cm X 21.5cm.
Square negatives produce an image area of 16.3cm X 16.3cm.
The enlargements and contacts are made for hand-held looking rather than wall display.

That's a good idea, I'm also in a small town and I even know the librarian.
Even large machine prints don't cost so much I would worry about giving them away these days, heck nobody buys them anyway :D
Re: how large (or small) are your prints?
35mm, 120, and 4"x5" - 11"x14"
Whole Plate, 8"x10", and 11"x14" - contact alternative (mostly) prints
