Durst HOMASKSET; Laraneg Masking System...FOUND!!
Some background on the Durst negative holder called Laraneg. It uses two 10x10 glass plates, with the top one being AN glass. There is no glassless option, because the equivalent of a hair blow dryer forces cooling air on the glass during exposure. The system is designed so all smaller film formats will be placed in the center of the glass and masked from below with a series of cutout frames called HOMASKSET. The HOMASKSET mask is held below the lower glass by some clips.

Of course, these masks are near impossible to find. However, I found one!! I'll use it to make the other sizes that I need, now that I see exactly how thick it is and its exact dimensions.

Homaskest mask in place on the bottom of the Durst Laraneg 10x10 negative carrier. This is a nominal 6x8cm mask.

This kind of thing is easy to make, and is really redundant anyway if you have a centered negative and use the built-in adjustable masking blades below the carrier. But it would make such centering faster and more convenient.

Yes, adjustable format masking blades sure would be nice, I have them on my Philips enlarger.

I make my supplemental sizing masks out of old voided Cibachrome stock, which is a nice thick 20-mil polyester.

Still trying to perfect the best format mask for the Omega D5500. Something that won't damage the glass, yet won't get stuck in the spring-loaded cassette or bleed fibers and collect dust.
I have a bunch of old Cibachrome pictures of gray cards and test prints I used for calibration. I'll have to try that as a mask.
If you like glass carriers, you can never have too many of them...

Old unused Ciba "paper" (polyester) makes an excellent mask cutout material.
