I too have been storing paper, both b/w fb and ra-4, and film in a plain jane chest freezer, no humidity control afaik. Sealed bags, humidity control - phooey! The only protocol I've followed has been to bring the paper to temp more slowly by transferring to the fridge for a few days before opening. Like Jim, I've never had a problem. Not sure why people freak out about this.
I freeze it all the time, no issues. Have a large stand up freezer that I keep paper and film in. Just let it come up to room temp and enjoy!
