Anyone have any experience with Advance Camera Repair in Portland, Oregon?

I need to have some Copal shutters CLA'd and would prefer to have the work done locally if possible.

They've done all my repair work for many years. They have a guaranty for their work, so you could give them a try. I'm sure that most of their work these days is digital. But, they were going strong during the film days as well.

Recently, Dave, the store owner, replaced a bellows frame for me on an old-style Arca Swiss bellows. I could probably have done this myself, but he knows the proper glue to use, etc. It was a nice job that seems to be holding together just fine. The replacement frame was one I had made by cutting out the center of a 171mm lensboard. In addition to attaching the bellows to this makeshift frame, he black-painted the shiny surfaces so that they wouldn't reflect light.

He's also mounted lenses for me into metal lensboards. He takes them home so that he can do a proper job on his lathe.

A long time ago, they did some good work on a 35mm film camera for me.
