That is a real beauty. Are the metal parts nickel plated?
Does anyone know how to determine the manufacture date of the camera??
i was just up at sunrise photographing an ethanol factory south of sydney with a 2d. steam coming up like guizers from masses of pipes catching sun like lantern...hope they come out.
nice camera, does most shots, though i always seem to be maxing out the movements.

Very nice. After years of shooting with 4X5 and 8X10 (I still shoot 8X10) I have come to love the size and portability of 5X7. I aquired a Kodak 33A a couple years ago, and while it's is a tad larger than 4X5's that I have used, it is lighter than many of them. Bellows draw is only about 10" so that limits lens choice for me but...sometimes being limited is an aid to creativity :)
it's a beauty. I have an early 40s 8x10 2-D. Great fun to shoot with but be prepared for a lot of interruptions and questions. Now, why are you sitting here reading this. You should get out and shoot some film.

PS. Did I read that right, that Raptar is f6.3? It sounds like its a later coated version of the Series I Velostigmat and therefore convertible. But, at 11 1/2" it's already long-ish for the format.
