Ansco studio camera 8x10 back.
I was wondering if any one has undertaken the task of making an 8x10 back for an ansco studio camera ?
I am in the process of restoring an Ansco studio camera and a stand. It is a pretty cool old beast. I am working on the shutter and lens while the refinishing steps dry. It came with a 5x7 sliding back. I would like to get an 8x10 back for it. Has anyone got the correct dimensions to construct one or any advice ? It appears that my Deardorff 4x5 reducing back might fit temporarily. The camera is stamped 22 in numerous places. Thank you

This is a picture of the camera as it looked a few weeks ago. At this point i think i will wait to an 8x10 back comes available and just buy one. It came with a sliding 5x7 which I suppose I will temp adapt to a 4x5.Attachment 255750

She is no longer coated in that horrendous white paint , I have stripped ,sanded, stained and lacquered for what seems like weeks.

Nice work, looks great!
If you can't find a readymade Ansco back, maybe try contacting Richard Ritter to have him make one for you?

I have an Agfa Studio No. 5 (I think.) It has an 8x10 back. If needed I can take pictures and measurments.
