I just wanted to contribute twice and get two cameras, one as a gift. I assume I'm not delaying anyone else's camera by getting two, but just supporting the project. I can always wait and purchase one aside from Kickstarter, but it wouldn't apply to your goal...

Yeah, we knew you guys wanted a 65! I'll have to look at the dimensions and FFD for the 58mm... It's always possible to do a simple recessed "lensboard" for the front of the body, but at 58mm it might have to be a new body. That way it could be more compact anyway.Quote:

Thanks, Larry! There are two boreholes through the camera's grips, which can be used for a strap. You would just pass the strap down one side, across the bottom, and up the other side. It works great!Quote:

Oh, cool! I'd have to look at our CAD drawings, but the 58 may work out of the box then. I guess worst case, you'd need to sand down the front by 0.5mm. Honestly, if it seems like it needs to be moved back by just 0.5, we might be able to design a feature in the mold so that we can produce a separate 65 and 58 plate. After all the excitement, support, and anticipation, all the damn earlybirds are gone? Well that was a pretty disappointing wait. :(
So what viewfinder were you using in the photos/video Ben? It's obviously a Voigtlander, but what FL? I have a 25mm one from a rangefinder lens that I guess would work great for this if I mask the edges of the 35mm frame. I've always felt 90mm was a tad wider than "28mm equivalent."
I'm glad I picked up one of those Blik rangefinders on eBay last week for $10!!

Really, with the Hexar? I thought that was supposed to be a super-stealthy street camera, LOL. I almost got one of those. I have a Contax G2, which has people have asked about, as it does look kind of unusual. I think people notice any kind of camera, they're very conditioned these days to pay attention when someone is photographing. My best chance for candids is by using a film camera as a decoy while I shoot with my iPhone.Quote:

Yes, in the description it says it has a slip-in ground glass for more considered composition.

Ben, I'm completely new to Kickstarter. I was first in line for the earlybird special on the 90, but I would also like the 65. When I try to choose the 65, it unchooses my pledge for the 90, and I sure don't want to do that. What do you suggest? If necessary, I'll create a login for my wife, but she doesn't have an Amazon account and it will all be fiction--enough fiction to get me in trouble with Amazon, maybe.

To add to what Rick says, I was also going to do the double, but wasn't sure how it would work, or if it would consolidate the overseas postage (it can't cost $80 to post two of these to the UK, shirley...) so I've had to hang fire on the 65.

Okay, so to fund this project you have to pre-sell 750 cameras.
I'm counting about 5-10 90mm Angulons or equivalent on the market between eBay and KEH. I guess most folks already have a lens? Otherwise, 90mm Angulons might be spiking in price real soon...
Yeah, I'm a bit worried about the market for Angulons. Hopefully if they start to go for $250 or more, people will start digging them out of their closets and selling them. I have a feeling there are a ton out there that are just sitting in drawers.
Well, there are also Optars, and probably some other press-camera 90's, and I think we've established that you can fit a 90/8 or 90/6.8 SA, Grandagon, etc., albeit at some cost to the elegance of the design. And some of the load can be carried by the 65's.Quote:

At this point, they need to sell roughly 650 more cameras. That's a lot of cameras--regardless of the price. It might have been a good idea to include a pinhole with the cameras (and pitch that harder). Ilford's Walker pinhole cameras have been selling fairly well at over 2X the price of the Wanderlust.Quote:
