The military made a full darkroom unit like this with enlargers, sinks, water heater and such. I was tempted by one being sold for $5000. Anyone seen these?

Ironage....go to ebay and search for seller "bidmart123". He's got 1 for sale. Failing that, go to film photography and type in "darkroom sink".
Mike, I have a combo heat/AC unit I've already paid for. As it has a fan setting and there's already a vent fan by the door, I think I have it covered. And I've seen it hit 4 F here several times in the winters !
Sounds like you are all set. Keep us posted:-)
Best Mike
These were incredible! I worked in one in the 1970s for 6 years when I was in the US Army Signal Corps. It had stainless steel sinks, temperature controlled water, Omega D2 enlargers, Rodenstock lenses.
I ran this lab and I had a half dozens photographers bringing me film for processing. We did 35mm to 4x5 film. One time I produced 600 prints when we were near a National Guard war game. We handed the finished prints to Nelson Rockefeller's aid.
Best,
Mike
The one on Ebay is an ES-82a, if you Google ES-82a there's a manual, also you can find a write up on the ES-38a that was used in Vietnam, quite a set up. This job had two air conditioners, was mounted on a 2 1/2 ton (deuce and a half) truck which pulled a trailer with a generator for electricity.
Great history.
Mike
Randy, from what I can tell, and the color it's painted, mine was made for the Middle East. It also has a oversized A/C unit. And yes, once I get it up and running I'm painting the outside!
