Yes, each hood made specifically for the space. Air comes in from outside building at top of the room and is extracted at tray level below my nose!

Got a nice 20x24 Saunders, some add'l large trays, and another siphon this weekend. Half my darkroom is outside on the porch (washing/holding) when I'm printing.

The point was you're draining fixer into the ground... Please don't... I mean, it's one thing to wash down the drain, which is processed by a facility vs pouring it straight into the ground. Just saying that's pretty irresponsible. Maybe 50 years ago that would be ok, but now we actually know about toxic waste dumping and the repercussions.
Maybe you could not wash it there and just use it as a Holdong tank, then pour the water into a bucket and move inside to the sink after. And finish the wash in there? And also pour the bucket down the drain to minimize the environmental impact.
It's the final washes. It's not used fixer. I don't process nearly enough to pose any threat from the residual fixer/silver content.
