Did you crop for perspective or because the lens doesn't cover?
Re: What did you compose at Waters Edge?
The lens covers fine. See my last image in the "Trees" thread if you would like to see a full 8x10 frame.

Experimenting with agitation. It works with just two negatives in the Mod54, but not well at all with four.

I've half-seriously thought about some kind of "swampshoes" for such conditions. Putting the tripod feet into plastic bottles might also help. I do like this image; captures the gloomy feeling of such places, and the contrast of the central grouping makes it stand out beautifully.

Hmm, I used the MOD54 for about 6 months and certainly never had this happen, I mostly used it with 6 sheets at a time as I was using Grafmatic film holders. But sometimes would do 2 or 4 (and I think once 3, but never had issues like that, hmm, interesting, thanks for sharing.
One thought, do you use wetting agent at the end of your processing? It may be that contamination in the tank from the wetting agent is causing issues in the following development stage?
Cool skies, hope you sort it out, don't give up!

I'd be interested to see what you discover with Diafine and sheet film. I gave it up when all my negatives had the same uneven development we see here. My suspicion is that the only reliable approach is to provide continuous agitation with a rotary machine.

Good idea! Thanks! Strangely, in this swamp/river area, this is the only area that I've had this experience. It's like this large tract of land that is just inherently very, very muddy, even when the water is gone.
This is another area where I'm thinking about bringing my 8x20 sometime but boy is it going to be a trek. It's a mile or so in.

Not so much at the edge as in the middle of the creek...
A little something of mine from a recent trip.
Velvia 50 (as always!).
This is Never Never Creek near Dorrigo in NSW, Au.

That is great. Love the subtle colours in the water.
