I've never understood why people do this, and why they design their darkrooms for this. I'm using folding tables now, but if I build a real permanent darkroom the benches will be the same height. I use a rolling, armless office chair with some height adjustment and adjust it to suit. My feet and legs would kill me if I had to work standing. A stool is an improvement but doesn't roll around. I like working from a rolling chair.
EDIT: Oops, should have read the rest:
Yeah, that one does look way TOO low even for a chair. My chair will go lower than I like, but then my knees are nearly around my ears sitting in it - also not comfortable.
Yes, it is way too low indeed. I need to find a stable table, maybe two. I never thought of taking a rolling chair down there, that's a brilliant idea! And I may also buy some thick black fabric for the missing door. At the moment I stuff a mattress in there... Works alright, when it doesn't fall over

Yours looks too low for a chair though. A table at the usual table/desk height with a rolling office chair works great for me.

What's the clock/timer hanging on that stone wall? Looks nice. Thanks.

Almost.. :)
Re: Lets See Your Darkroom
I noticed your use of compact fluorescent bulbs. Have you not had the problem of fogging? I'm not an authority on the subject, but I did experience the problem and removed a light fixture from my darkroom years ago. Apparently, they don't turn off immediately and can still emit radiation for hours. After my test confirmed it, I stayed away from them.

Not trying to be redundant, but true fact. I use them but they do glow for some time after being turned off.
