Re: post alternative techniques
 Well I don't think that's gonna happen. But I do quite like the prospect (at least) of potentially doing 11x14 inkjet enlargements of 10x8 negs on OHP film now that (finally) I have an A3+ inkjet. My printing frame is 16x20 so Bergger Cot320 paper at that size ought to fit. More experiments, but almost certainly an equal if not greater amount of frustration!!

Otherwise, thanks for putting the floating frame idea out there--for myself, I could imagine standardizing on "edge-to-edge" Pt/Pd prints in the right color of cradle...
Re: post alternative techniques
I shot this years ago of a member
Negative filed in a pile, Delta 100 8X10
Bought a 'Super Sunprint Kit'
First test it worked! Few minutes SUN exposure 1 to 5, wash 1 minute, dried on rag.....DONE!
'Scanned' it with cheapest iPhone handheld, raw is posted and simple BW conversion

Wonderful image Dave. I bet it looks even better in real life. Now, your digitizing method got me all curious, why the stitching? The D800 already makes big files...

Thankyou!! It's a bit darker irl but that just means you have to get up close with it to absorb it.
Sucker for detail. Also enhancing the possibility of digital printing at some point if I have to.

I'll be curious at what point you might fall down the vacuum frame rabbit-hole, or perhaps even start exploring "point source" UV options, especially if you do feel the need to start hanging larger prints up the rafters of ye Mercian mead hall.;)
Otherwise, thanks for the link--certainly a neat notion for archival purposes, but I find myself thinking whether it would be possible to attach an alt-print to an "art board" (i.e. flat or "cradled" plywood). I know that a lot of watercolor artists don't have a problem with using an adhesive to glue their paper down, but I'm curious if with a photo, the paper outside the image area would become mottled with the adhesive bleeding through.
Re: post alternative techniques
This is super.

Re: post alternative techniques
Lovely image! I'm curious how you like working with the Bergger COT 160. I've been looking for something lighter weight, and the price sure is right.
