Jeep On The Alvord by tuco, on Flickr
All your images lately have been stellar tuco! I like the Jeep a lot. I was tooling around AZ with my uncle's Jeep and I honestly would like to get one...
Thanks. I bet you'll be busy as hell scanning for the next week. I'm interested in seeing what you took of that area and getting some inspiration.
You can spend a lot of money on mods for a Jeep. But a stock Rubicon will get you a lot of places. I've put a lot into mods on mine. A Mopar 2-inch lift, tires, steel bumpers and winch, front skid plate, front differential skid plate, additional rock rails, LED lights, AGM battery, recovery equipment and more. I also have a safari soft top for it which I like a lot. But for long, hot and dusty trips a hard top is more comfortable with the AC going.
Yeah I didn't do any hardcore off-roading but there's a lot of roads, even in the national parks, that would shake my Camry apart. Over here in GA the National Forest land can get pretty rough, and there's been a few times where I was not comfortable taking a normal sedan. Just a stock 4WD Jeep would be all I needed/wanted I think.
My uncle also has a tricked-out Polaris if he wants to really get off-road. Haven't had a chance to do that with him.
Hopefully I'll get some of the 120 developed tonight :).
