Yeah, I'd say the Fuji 360A accounts for about 80% of the pictures I take on the 8x10. For over a decade, the Schneider 360/6.8 Symmar-S was the only lens I owned and, as such, remained glued to my Deardorff. But, the setup along with a Ries A100 tripod is a whole LOTTA weight! At my age (70), I much prefer hiking with those lightweight Fuji C lenses and my Intrepid 8x10. At least I can carry it further than a few hundred feet from the car! ;)

Re: Does a 240 cover 8x10?
Most 240mm plasmat lenses will cover 8x10 with minimal, if any, movements. It comes to mind that a Schneider 240mm f5.6 lens has about a 352mm image circle. (Not positive, though.)
A 250mm f6.7 Fuji lens has an image circle of 394mm, which provides excellent movement for its focal length. Plus, it's a relatively small lens in a No. 1 shutter. They're single-coated; examples can be found for reasonable prices.

The Nikon 240mm is vignette free to infinity for 8x10" I often use it.

Thanks to all.
Some 240mm lenses cover 8x10, depending on aperture and extremity of movements. My 240 Goertz Dagor "covers" 8x10 stopped down to F16 with no movements. Generally, you need a "wide angle" 240mm lens to do what you want. Think expensive.
Re: Does a 240 cover 8x10?
Quite a few 240's - 250's do the job decently. Three I've personally used on 8X10 include the 240/9 Fujinon A, the 250/9 G-Claron, and the 250/6.7 Fuji W. All of these are relatively lightweight lenses and have large enough image circles stopped down to allow for reasonable movements with 8x10 format. All three have just about the same effective image circle.
I'm more a long perspective type, so mainly used these 240-250 lenses for 4X5 format, or even 6X9 roll film. But they nicely double for a wide angle perspective with 8X10. Most of my 8X10 work is done with either a 360 Fuji A or 450 Fuji C. My 250/6.7 was stolen a long time ago. But the other two, either the 240A or 250GC, are so small, that I just leave one of them in the pack the whole time, no matter which view camera format I plan to use.

Re: Does a 240 cover 8x10?
When I had an 8x10 years ago my favorite lens was a 10 inch Commercial Ektar, very close to 240.
Re: Does a 240 cover 8x10?
Long time ago I had a gem and it kills me that I sold it.
Docter-Wetzlar Apo germinar W8 240mm. Coverage on 8x10 was astonishing.
Now prices are just crazy.
