I think so.
I can - if I ask nicely - proberly get to use some of the equipment located at the museum of photography here in DK.... (maybe.. perhaps.... if I keep it a secret..... )
I hate to see old cars behind strings.. They were ment to drive in...
A Stradivarious violin/cello will "die" if not played on...
Re: Some Soft Focus Lens Sales Information
I completely agree with Emil.
The two old automobile museums in Denmark (yes, there are Danish-made autos!) both have a policy of getting their exhibits out and running as often as possible.
And this would be much easier with photographic equipment. The museums would benefit with modern prints to display alongside the "apparatus".
Re: Some Soft Focus Lens Sales Information
I get your point guys about using stuff - but I also believe in keeping and passing down historical items for future generations. My main point is that "users" arent somehow better than "collectors" of lenses, cars or just about anything sought after.

Nice early Voigtländer - but not, using CC's "coverage", a soft lens. Note the sad attempt by someone to lure the seller into a pre-emptive buy-it-now!

Thanks! Does anyone know it covers (image circle) is how much? Focal length 500mm correct?
Re: Some Soft Focus Lens Sales Information
You should put down that 420mm Universal Heliar that went for $5,500.

Re: Some Soft Focus Lens Sales Information
Hello,
Some days ago, I saw a very nice Darlot / Puyo et Pulligny anachromatique lens (collector's;not on the web)
It's exactly the same shown in CC Harrison main site but in a nice casket box with two additional lenses.
I didn't give much attention cause I'm not interested in SF lenses for my own and was buying something else (a big "cone centralisateur"). I guess the price is arround 1500 USD, prehaps possible to low at 1400USD. It covers 5x7, may be whole plate but I didn't verify.
Would some one be interested?
If so, send me a PM.
Luphot
Re: Some Soft Focus Lens Sales Information
...I just found this one at a much higher price, but wit no additional lenses, no box.
The lens I saw is in brass, not aluminium...
