That is sweet, Peter; a beautiful piece.
Re: Show off your Large Format camera!
Thank you, Stone and Ari. I've had the camera for 18 years, and I finally got around to fixing it up. Luckily the wood was in great shape and only needed a cleaning and a coat of Renaissance Wax. Some of the joints of the wooden table were loose, but they were easy to re-glue. The cast iron parts of the stand were rusty, but some wire brushing and Rustoleum rust converter took care of that. The converter produced an attractive black satin finish. Custom Bellows re-did the bellows. The x-ray film thread, which shows how to shoot 8x10 affordably, and my access to a studio space, were the motivations behind getting it done. Now if I can only convince people to have their portrait taken. It's fun to think of all of the portraits taken with the camera since it was made in 1906 or so.

Also, since the viewing glass and film holder are so non-standard, I made a new back and viewing glass. Now I can use a Polaroid 405 Instant film, a 6X6 and 6X7 120 roll film back, as well a standard (slightly modified) 4X5 film holders. Now I am waiting for my FP100s polaroid films to arrive so that I can start the picture taking.
I love seeing these old cameras being put back into operation. Hopefully you can pass it along to your heirs who will be inspired to do the same in another century. I'm currently doing a resurrection of an Ansco 8x10 and should be ready for a bellows test this weekend. (Please no holes... no holes, please!)

I assumed by its size that it was 11x14 guess not.
