it's a yurt
I rent it out as a storage space.. but I also have plenty of space to use as a studio...."occassionally" (as per rental agreement)
it took me years and years to find something big enough and cheap enough in santa barbara... now I got to get my photo on...

Stone- lm wondering if your knob only allows you to fix the standard to tilt and rise at the same time, were the other allows you to fix the rise but still allow tilt?

That's what I was thinking, but I was told mine was the latest model, I'll be a little upset if mine isn't the latest model (2013 model) as I payed almost full price, but I don't mind that much that it's a combined feature, it seems to work fine for me and doesn't really move except with extreme extension.
Curious to know for sure, but more importantly it would be nice to know if that rear knob that sticks up is some kind of locking mechanism for the knob as I've had issues with movement of I'm at extreme upward or downward views (like pointed toward the ground). Hugo showed me there's a tightening screw that fixes the problem, however it requires an Allan Wrench, which is kind of inconvenient to carry in the field and I'll probably lose, so if there's an update that locks, it would also be nice to know.

I figure that we are all proud of our cameras in one way or another. It may be your first camera as you just start to learn, it may be that shiny new toy that the gearhead in all of us gets excited about, or it may be a trusted companion that's been with you for years. Regardless - our cameras are our conduit to making the images that we care about.
So here's your chance - show off your baby!
(LF cameras only, of course)

No paint by number?
Lol!
I heard about something like this that was a 4x5 design, some kind of ultracheap $300 type camera, is this the 8x10 version of that?

Glad to see it's in production, last I saw it was still in its infancy stage and hadn't actually been produced as a product yet. Awesome!

Actually the company is no longer ... But the guy who designed them is still in business and will put one together for you... These were before the kickstarter company that's making a field camera
