I always thought the early Kodak 152mm anastigmat was a tessar like the later coated versions. However, it appears they are indeed a dialyte formula. You taught me something new. :)

I got some lens cells from afriednly forum member for a CZJ Tessar 135/4.5 that looks dated 1938. I put it ona Sinar DB shutter and tried it out.
I love it.

Another new lens to test. Not a very Christian one.
Lens cells are a Dialyte Kodak Agnastigmat 152/7.7 but the barrel is likely from a B&L Tessar f6.3.

Nede. Leaves definitely count. Wonderful photograph.
Jonathan, cue my standard response.
Thanks man. Much appreciated. In hindsight, I knew better. Just had a lot on my mind learning how to use the camera, load film, etc.
That said, it is apparent from my thread that I still had/have lots to learn.
Are you just using a white card as backdrop?
And speaking of, I used one off to the side of my subjects, but was unsure of why. I just saw other people using it, I assume to reflect light to the shadow'd side of the subject. Well, I don't want to muddle up the thread. Thanks for the help/advice. Keep up the inspiring work.
Since the title of this sub-forum group is "Image Sharing and Discussion," I think we're fine talking shop between images. :)
I've been using an old slide projector screen for shots when I want a blank background. It folds up easily for storage but also deploys rapidly when needed, and works even in cramped spaces. If I angle it away fom the light source it drops to middle gray, whereas if I angle it toward the light it brightens up.
As for the white card, I tend to use that for fill when I have strongly directional light. For most of these recent photos I have a big window at about 80 degrees left of the camera, and this leaves the right side shadows a bit dark. The card just helps fill them in a bit. If the lighting were coming more from the front this would not be as important, at least not to me.
