Re: 3800@Silver Rag 17x22
Hi Andrew,
I've used the same paper in my 3800 with no problems. I did have the same problem with some 13x19 size sheets that had a definite curl to them - the curl was along the sides where you are having problems. I made sure to curl the paper the other way and the problem stopped. Hopefully your cure is as simple as that.

OK, Dave.
so you didn't make any change on the gap/wideness settings?
Cheers
Andrew
Re: 3800@Silver Rag 17x22
The single sheet, back load, method is a pain but its the safest was to get the paper cleanly through the printer. My problem was with small scratches happening when I used that paper through the standard top feed. But were solved by going one by one through the manual feed in back.
If my memory serves, there is also a thickness setting in the printer dialog somewhere.
Re: 3800@Silver Rag 17x22
Nope - I didn't change any settings. I just made sure the paper was curled a tiny bit convex (bowing out towards me) when I put it in the manual feed slot.
Good luck!
Re: 3800@Silver Rag 17x22
Setting the gap wider solved this problem for me. It is under the advanced paper settings if I remember correctly.
Re: 3800@Silver Rag 17x22
Ditto what Gilbert said. You are getting head strikes. Set your platen gap to a wider setting until you get your paper flattened out.
