I'm using the B&S pre-mixed "old workhorse" collodion and my light power is solar, indirect. What developer are you using? That can make a big difference. I use glacial acetic acid and grain alcohol, along with the ferrous sulphate of course.

I use the same developer,
I use 3 salt colodion,
potassium iodiede 40g
ammonium iodide 15g
cadmium iodide 20g
Pure alcohol 1000ml,
and then I mix one part of this solution with three parts of 2% collodion.

But I use 2 lamps 5500K light bulbs, they have light power approx 3000W each, perhaps this is the reason ;]
