It's been almost 2000 posts and three quarter of a million views in the roughly 6 years since I started this thread. I couldn't shake large format, even though I I've tried for the past few years. I got sucked back in with a local Craiglist posting... picked myself up a Kodak 2D 8x10 and lens with a few holders. Just exposed my first sheet of film tonight.
It feels good.

Re: Show off your Large Format camera!
Ramiro Elena - I had a 4x5 wooden box camera similar to yours (though, nowhere near as nice to look at) and really enjoyed the simplicity of shooting it... The only issue was, at the time, it was my only camera and a 90/8 as your only option on 4x5 with no movements became very restrictive after a few months shooting with it... In many ways I do wish I still had it though..
Here's a horrid mobile phone shot of my current baby set up yesterday afternoon just after making a couple of exposures....

I want light... I do care about function, but I also care about my feet, knee's, back, etc, not that familiar with the 8x10 Ritter, but if it's lighter than the Chamonix, I'm listening...
Re: Show off your Large Format camera!
The Chamonix is a beautifully made camera.. It doesn't have half the movements of the old Linhof Karden Super Color I used to schlep around, but I wouldn't take the Linhof half the places that I will happily carry the Chamonix too... I can tell you now, the 045N-2, my 65/4, 90/8 and 210/5.6 with 6 holders, a black jacket dark cloth, meter and some provisions, my LF kit carries easier than some of my friends 35mm digital kits... Its light, it looks great and even though I've only exposed 6 sheets with it since I bought it nearly 2 months ago, I am already in love with its simplicity...
Greenbank - Glass House Mountains it is mate... The mountain in question is Mt Coonowrin...
