That's lovely but I would have had her remove her navel ring. It's crisp in a way the rest of the image isn't and it keeps drawing my eye.

Hi David
Mona is really a beauty and you covered it just perfect, congrats, Armin
Beautiful image. The only negatives I have with image of Mona is wish the black clothe had extended to the upper right edge. And the bit of hair on her forehead is distracting from an otherwise perfect image.
I like the shot. I agree with Doug, if the black cloth filled the upper right it would be better. The navel ring is fine for me.
The model is wonderful...she has that soft elegant look opposed to the "girly" look.
I'll join in and say I like this one David. I like the way she is laying and her head position with her eyes engaged toward the viewer. I like her nose piercing too ;-)

Neptunian Haze is lovely, and a great shot. I like the somewhat unusual pose.

Thank you, Leigh.
Dear Ed, just out of curiosity, how/what is you light setup?
I´m admiring you photographs and wonder, how you can get this kind of even but structured illumination of your subjects and the background.
George
Hi George. I shoot in my backyard, using the exterior stucco wall of the garage as a background. If I showed you a picture of the setting, I'm sure you would laugh. It looks like an alley with trash cans and weeds. The wall is light green, about the shade of wasaba. I shoot on the north side, into the shaded wall -- I think this is the classic "northern light." The green wall gives a tone that is usually not that far from that of the model's skin. I think when combined with the nice bokeh of the petzval lens, it gives a nice overall softness and uniformity to the images. I've found that I prefer it to the gray background I had used for a few years. I don't use lights or a reflector. Regards, Ed
