Re: Show off your Large Format camera!
Well I don't see myself keeping this Folmer stand. Its big! Really big. I was thinking of taking the home made additional wooden support brackets the previous user put on it off, cleaning up the bottem and add 4 new caster to the bottom (two originals are still on it) and selling to anyone that is interested in it. I like the stand, don't get me wrong and I have all the additional parts that you don't see in the picture, such as the the sliding platform, wooden handled crank and parts, etc.. It is a beautiful stand (solid Mahogany) the Deardorrf SC10 does very well on this stand. Please post pictures of yours when the bellows arrives. I bet its gorgeous! Here is a copy I found of the Folmer Stand when it was offered via catalog.Attachment 109049

Re: Show off your Large Format camera!
Thanks for the page, I had not seen that one. My camera and stand is just to left of the Folmer Lab stand. My 75" to 90" of bellows in 3 sections should be coming along soon...I wanted red, but they said, no can do. Next time.

Wow! That is going to be amazing. I can only imagine your anticipation for it to arrive. I am trying to imagine that. My 8x10 is just hitting 6 feet with the three sections and its big. Red would have been stunning, to bad they couldn't do it. Good luck and don't forget to post pictures when its done.

How many images a day can you shoot with that beast! :)
Re: Show off your Large Format camera!
Okay, that is my 14x17 that I built. Tripod as well. Both out of Walnut. I just got back from Yosemite where I shot 8 sheets in two days. All different setups. My canoe pack fits everything except the tripod and I do hike with it on my back.
Re: Show off your Large Format camera!
It is big even outside!
I just got a bicycle trailer to carry an 8x10. I'm a full time wimp.
But I do want to try 14x17 pinhole soon!

I have that same stand with an 8x10 copy camera on it. Don't have room in the house for it at the moment so it lives a sad life in the garage.

Re: Show off your Large Format camera!
I really don't have the room, unless I get rid of some of these big enlargers...
I just like how it tilts and winds the table, I think that's why I like these big enlargers, you can turn the crank and it moves!
Magic, I tell you. My friends little boy comes in here and immediately starts cranking all the handles, gotta watch that guy, this place is NOT child safe.

Sigh... This is frustrating but the seller was very apologetic and the compensation was more than fair.
Now I just need another storm to come in! :)
