Re: Large Format Landscapes
Corran that soft focus makes me dizzy but the effect is very interesting. It was a fun outing sharing images and the field trip; even with the broken mounts, broken film holders, wasted film, ticks, and leeches. I am assuming you stayed up late to get this out. Get out of the darkroom and take your lovely wife out to one of the wineries this afternoon. Kaya is my favorite so far (take a small pano camera if you must).
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Yeah it's a little different! I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. Might try printing it. The Verito goes swirly on 8x10 because it's not really designed for that large a format. I also need to try shooting one of my faster lenses at around f/8 to give a uniformly "soft" (out of focus) look with a sharp focus point. Would be a good comparison point. I have a Fujinar 25cm f/4.5 for instance.
I'm always up late ;). We might drive up in the mountains this afternoon. I've been driving past Kaya a lot going up to Raven Cliffs, but I haven't gone there. Might go ahead and drop in. I want to shoot in the vineyards though :).

I think it’s fantastic! I’d be thrilled if it were my image.

An 8-3/4” Verito covers 8x10? What will a 12” er cover?
I love the photo myself.

Bryan, I really like this one. Nice and swirly.
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Thanks Paul, Steve, and Jon.
Steve, the 8 3/4" really doesn't cover as Wollensak intended but it's interesting nevertheless. Some years ago I had a 12" Verito, and it worked really well on 8x10. I suppose it would look about like the above if used on 11x14.

Great image! Bryan! Love the soft focus. Great shooting with you and Eric-I'm a bit slower processing and scanning mine but will share soon.
Re: Large Format Landscapes
