Actually there are 4 knobs 2 on each side of the grond glass plate and film holder. It looks like they can be used to lock the ground glass down or up.
This thing weighs less than half of my Zone VI. Which will be going on the auction block shortly.
Sure I remember DavidB.
David Karp, Oh yeah! I almost forgot.
ACK!
Husband just got a call from the local Police that they found a stack of empty boxes from my street. One of them had my husband's name on it. Apparently some crook waited until the UPS guy finished leaving packages and grabbed them all and emptied them.
Made my heart skip a beat until I remembered that:
1) My 45N-1 was in my name
2) the USPS didn't leave it at the door -- it's waiting for me at the post office.
Boy-- almost gave me an arrhythmia.

And hey Kirk-- looks like I'm sending my oldest out in your direction for college next year, she was just accepted of the U of Chicago... she'll be bringing her Rolleicord Vb with her!
"Aha, they are for securing Polaroid holders and medium format backs"
Well that makes sense. But they do a nice job of locking it down too. I still can't get over how light it is. It doesn't seem possible. Now I just have to wait on the lens boards to come.

Mine is showing "attempted delivery"--not sure what's up with that, because someone was around to accept the package. Ah well--we'll see what tomorrow brings.
