I've been looking at the portrait threads weekly, but haven't been posting for a while,
finally had the time to take the agfa ansco 8*10 with a schneider isconar (crazy little cheap lens for the output it gives) out in the field. Foma 100

Portraits have always felt like something beyond me - way beyond what I was able to capture, what I was able to communicate… Only very slowly, hesitantly, humbly, I have started trying portraits. Friends at first.

My first self portrait with an tilted toyo 4x5 and open aperture. It's hard.
Nice. That's a curious circular reflection in your pupil. Did you use a ring light? Did you plan for that reflection to echo your nose ring?
