Hello. I recently purchased this 8x20 camera along with a Deardorff V8. There is no manufacturer indicated on the 8x20 camera. Any help identifying it would be very appreciated! The Deardorff came with a Graphic-Kowa 360mm F9 lens in a Copal 3S shutter. From my research, it appears the 360mm will not quite cover the full 8x20 frame (?). Any info will be appreciated! Almost certain it is a Korona, but the front standard appears to have been rebuilt/replaced at some time and lost the nameplate.
Beautiful camera! I can barely afford 8x10, so 8x20 does not appear to be in my future!

Well, since the standard appears to be built out of a different type of wood (or newer wood of the same sort), it could be for anything the modifier wished!
The front standard does appear to be more "beefy" than the original, so MAYBE it was for a non-original shade/matte box or some other similar accessory?
The seller might know, but it could be anything...

Your 8x20 looks eerily familiar. I had a similar Korona back in the day and the front standard looked like yours as I had Patrick Alt rebuild mine to take Sinar lens boards. What lens board does yours take? I don’t recall mounting a lens hood. Your bellows look like Western Bellows, which is what I used, again back in the day... late 90s.

It actually does take Sinar lens boards! The bellows were definitely replaced, so they could be from the (late) Western Bellows Co. I purchased the camera, along with a Deardorff 8x10, from a seller in Seaside, Oregon. She obtained the cameras in trade for some in-home care work for the elderly owner of the cameras. The seller had them at a garage sale the week before I purchased them, and nobody bought them (thank goodness). Unfortunately, I think the lens and lens board(s) were stolen at the garage sale :(Quote:
