DIY LF Camera Hardware - Need Some New Source Recommendations
Its been awhile since I've built a "decent" LF camera - and while, back in the day...I'd had good luck through M. Berg and McMaster Carr - I'm noticing folks here referencing many different outlets for things like anodized knurled hand wheels, shafting/rack and pinion components, nylon sleeves/bushings and the like.
At any rate...I'd love to hear from some of you LF DIY-ers about your "go to" outlets for LF camera related hardware. Thanks! ...and Happy Holidays!

I'm mostly posting because I'd also like to hear some suggestions! McMaster Carr was the main place where I saw rack and pinion assemblies when I was looking into this a couple years ago.
Buying a basket case parts camera (or two) could also be a source of parts, or possibly AliExpress.

I got my racks and pinions from a local dealer who imports Maedler.
A german manufacturer but they seem to have northamerican dealer.

Eero, that looks like a great resource - thanks! ...but I cannot see any reference to shafts and shaft accessories. I actually have quite a bit of shafts left over from various projects - but need a good source of black anodized knurled hand wheels and sleeve bearings for these shafts.

Yes you’re right, I didn’t found them either, anywhere, so I ended up making my own…

Stock Drive Products/Sterling Instrument is another source for gears and racks, wheels, pulleys, timing gears, belts, etc. They also offer 3D CAD for all their catalog items.
