90mm bowl questions
I recently got a Zone Six tripod without a head.
This tripod is made of Ash and can take much abuse, just perfect for planned world travel with my 4x10 outfit.
I have several cameras and heads that fit in the Linhof bowl of 90mm diameter like in the big Linhof tripod from the 1960's.
I am trying to find a bowl of 90mm diameter that will be the head for the Zone VI tripod.
Should I just remove the bowl from the big tripod's column? Is that practical?
Can you point me in the right direction?

Re: 90mm bowl questions
I have a 150mm bottom bowl but they are expensive
I bought a new 130MM upper bowl from B&H some years ago
The radius is the same on all bowls!

However top half is sunk a bit so I made a spacer
Not perfect but made my wonderful wood https://www.sachtler.com/en/sachtler...pods/c-26/c-83 very usable
The sticks are old but perfect, came with OE folding Dolly and spreader chains
Bought at garage sale 30 years ago for $15

Re: 90mm bowl questions
90mm is an odd size today. Most bowl heads now made seem to be for motion picture use and are sized 75mm, 100mm, and 150mm. Adapter rings (like a donut) are made to step heads up to bigger tripod bowls. I’m not exactly sure what you’re after but an inexpensive adapter may work in your case.

Re: 90mm bowl questions
Problem solved. Found a Giottos base that fits on the Zone VI tripod and the leveling head of the Linhof TL makes for a solid i.e. no wobble setup.
