Hello from the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania
I have just begun my large format phase of my photography life. In 2018 I returned to film with 35mm and last year I started medium format. Now I am going to try my hand at LF. I recently purchased an Intrepid 4x5 and am still gathering lenses and the various other components necessary. Thanks to a tip from Mat Marrash, I am here at the LFPF to learn.
Here in the Lehigh Valley we have a lot to photograph but I have noticed a glaring lack of education opportunities for darkroom skills and such. So, like so many other things in my photography life, I will be educating myself with whatever resources I can find.
Thanks for having me!

Greetings, Joe, and welcome. I lived in Bethlehem for about a year in '75, when "the steel" was still there.
I continue to follow the rebound of film and am always interested in why individuals choose it, especially coming back to it. I'd being interested in your experience, here or by PM (click on my name).
I guess Matt has switched to other cyber locations; no YouTube videos for some time. If you never saw his delightful "Large Format Cringe Moments", it's here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZAqD9bAzYc
Do look at the home page here for lots of info of all sorts. And the breadth and depth of knowledge on this forum is extraordinary.

I dated a girl from the Lehigh Valley for several years, spent some time exploring the area and got some nice shots. As you say there's a lot of great subjects there!
Nice work on your site.

When I got more into photography (from drawing/painting/printmaking background) back around 1991, my only resources were magazines, and books. I was living in Japan, and didn't meet likewise individuals for about 15 years, when I came back to Canada. Now it seems everything is online, so it's heaps easier. Cheers and welcome to LF!
