Help me find an affordable 4x5 sheet film processor
With the demise of Jobo processors, what is out there as a replacement?
1. Does anyone sell refurb Jobo units?
2. What Jobo models will process b&w 4x5 negs consistently? I don't want to do printing with a processor, just negs.
3. Is there a list somewhere that compares Jobo models?
4. Does anyone currently make a product of a similar complexity level?
I am leary of buying a Jobo processor from ebay, although it could come to that if there's nothing else available.

There is the option of using a Unidrum on a roller base.

I use BTZS tubes. Slower than a Jobo but take up less space and much more control of development.

I second the Unicolor drum and motor
I have been using it for the past 2 years and it works great.
Uses only 4oz total developer per 4 sheets of 4x5 film
I use d23 1:3 and it gives great negs

Four 5x7 or 8x10 print trays and a used Kodak darkroom syphon.
Re: Help me find an affordable 4x5 sheet film processor
Unicolor base and Jobo tank & spiral reels. I use the first sort of reel, unlike most reports I find development is even no matter the number of films/reel - maybe the early reels are only a problem if the tank is used in a Jobo processor?

A slosher is another cheap alternative.

1. Not to my knowledge.
2. The CPA-2 and CPP-2 are the least expensive models that will accept the 3000-series Expert drums.
3. Some official info is still posted here:

4. Not really.
