Copal #3 Disassembly and Cleaning
I could not find any good internet resources on disassembly and cleaning a Copal #3.
I thought this was a pretty common shutter and there would be more information out there.
Anyway, I posted pictures of how I do it here:

I'm guessing that because a few good technicians like Chris Sherlock have posted MANY, very thorough video tutorials on the teardown and cleaning/repair of cameras and shutters, that there's little need for more of that sort of thing. What Sherlock has provided over the past 5 years has been extremely useful in teaching even the most amateur camera repair technician how to do things, and do them right.

This is very much appreciated, thank you for taking the time to document it for the rest of us.

Recently, I got a lens mounted on a Betax #4. It works at sll speeds but sticks and needs a solid CLA.
I was shocked to find that there is no one here in the city of Houston that will do this any longer. There is a Precision Camera that will do it, but they are as far North of town as I am South . . .some 90 miles in total.
SK Grimes no longer will do this.
Another option is a shop specializing in leaf shutters in the LA area, but they are twice as expensive as Precision (wihch is looking better now). I have viewed several videos on this sort of project . . .which sced he stuff out me. I just can ot do anything like that anymore.
Perhaps I am aging-out of LF photography.

I'm in the UK but Flutots are brilliant. Quick service, reasonably priced and nice people to deal with.
