Constructing HID Bulb fixture for Alt Process
I'd like to give one of these UV bulbs a try for exposing Carbon Prints with DAS, as they specifically list "Diazo" film in the spec sheet as an application. Problem is the only ballasts I can find seem to be only for European power (230V / 50 hz). Does anyone know any tricks to finding a ballast and fixture for a bulb like this?

Why not use UV LEDs? They generate a lot less heat, use a lot less energy. Probably cheaper too.

LEDs don't seem to work well with DAS unless you design a complex multi-spectrum LED system anyways. LEDs emit a tiny spectrum of UV in my experience and it ends up hurting contrast overall and exposure speed. I was hoping I could do a quick experiment with a bulb like this but it seems like the ballasts are getting harder and harder to find and not particularly cheap.

I do not think a ballast is required for that sort of bulb. None is listed in the specs. Similar bulbs are used in Tota lights.
I use 750W self-balasted Mercury vapor lamps. (dichromate)

That is true, the inputs just save 230V so maybe I would just need a transformer to convert 120V to 230V with enough wattage.
