That was very interesting reading. I sat down intending to browse a bit and ended up reading the entire thread, all 20-something parts.
Great reading. Thanks for the link. I've been back several times. Like Christopher I took what was to be a quick look and kept reading.

Nice read,,,, I couldn't finish it though.. I wonder if he explains why Richard would take photos of his dead mother... ?

I didn't see anything like that. Are you sure he photographed his dead mother? I know he photographed his father as his father's fatal illness progressed but I don't remember anything about his dead mother. Of course photographing deceased family members was a very common and popular practice in the 19th century so it wouldn't be that strange, I've just never heard that Avedon did it (which doesn't mean a whole lot, I'm not an Avedon expert by any stretch).Quote:
