Actually, it's the Adox CMS 20 II that is now available in 4x5.

"This film cannot be developed in regular developers !"

Why can't you use "regular" developers with this?

You can but, the results are not guaranteed. Meaning, (as I understand it) that you are likely to get less than optimum results if you use other developers. Adox developed (excuse the pun) an "system" of film/developer.

Thanks for the info. Adox CMS 20 II has been available for quite some time already.

Adox CMS 20 II is Agfa-Gaevert Copex HDP, a high resolution copy microfilm. Like all typical document films, it is made for very high contrast. Thus, you need a very low-contrast developer if you want to use it as half-tone film. I think that is all there is about this "special" developer dedicated to CMS 20 II.

Like Tech Pan and Technidol, and probably for the same reason... trying to get a gray scale from a high-res copy film

Now I am confused. Is this 'new' product a new Adox film or not? Which way round is it and who makes what? Could this II just be a badged Agfa film? Or did Adox make Agfa?

I don't know about the new CHS 100 II. The CMS 20 II is coated by Gevaert (AgfaPhoto GmbH) as far as I'm informed. As mentioned above it's Copex HDP and packaged by Adox. It's an annoying puzzle to find out which film is in which box.

Apparently the film is not to be produced until August now, just like the story about the pan 400, i wouldnt trust a word these guys at Adox say, I wonder if they still have still master rolls that hans o mann bought when Agfa fell. I reckon they are making ADOX CHS 100 II but only in their minds. Secondly if this film does materialise it will be interesting if they produce a format other than 35mm just like the silver max.

They said they were going to make MCC110 paper, and they did. It is wonderful.
