I have a lith developer formula which calls for boric acid crystals. I can find boric acid powder quite easily. My question is ; can powder be substituted for crystals ? If not , how can I get crystals from the powder ?

I've used both for the same purpose with no issues. Is your powder version, Borax?

I have n't picked up the powder version as of yet, but I was going to purchase it from a pharmacy. Will Borax work ?

Boric acid crystals.... the inexpensive name for Roach Proof... in case you want your photo chemicals to do double duty...

Thanks for the replys. They clear the air. I searched the internet but nowhere could I find a defintive answer. The more I searched, the more I wondered.

Don't confuse boric acid with borax or related borate. Two completely different things. Borax is alkaline.

If you have a Ceramics supply store near you, boric acid powder is common and quite cheap...
