HI everyone, after many years of use this camera has had its first problem. One of the springs that keep the back of the camera (pressure plate-ground glass) tight has lost its tension and the whole back is now very loss. Does any of you know anyone who could fix this for me?? I live in New York, so someone around here would be best. Thanks Arturo

Arturo,
I'd first contact Ian Wilson (Ebony representative) at igbwilson@yahoo.com.
Customer service is simply the best.
Sounds like a broken spring?

If your Ebony back is constructed like mine, and it probably is, then it should be a simple matter to repair it without having to ship it back to Tokyo. The arm with the spring inside is fastened to the back with one titanium screw. A five-minute fix to replace it. Just ask Ebony to send you a new spring.
