Hello.

When I bought my 150mm Rodenstock it didn't come with a lens retaining ring. I solved this for a time, by borrowing one. Now I have tried purchasing one from Ebay two times. Both times it was either too small or too big. This makes no sense to me, as I bought a copal 0 both times. Does anyone know where I can get one that will fit?

Thanks, Fredrick.

SK Grimes can take care of you. You can check to see if they are any cheaper than B&H.

Thank you Louis. The only problem is that I live in Norway and B&H charges over 50 USD for shipping to Norway. This is a bit expensive to me. I guess if I can't find another one I'll have to buy it nonetheless.

We have the 50mm x0.75 Rodenstock rings in stock for any of our dealers to order. Or for users in the USA to order. 800 735-4373. It will be less expensive from a dealer.

Thanks, Fredrick.

Call a Rodenstock dealer in Norway. If they don't have it they can easily get it for you.

Heavystar on ebay (http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_ssn=heavystar&_nkw=retaining+ring&_nkwusc=retaning+ring&_rdc=1) sell these at a very good prices, I bought 3 before Christmas, shipping to Europe was reasonable. He's good for various other items as well.

The one I ordered had to be returned for a refund. It was poorly machined and finished. It would not screw all the way onto the shutter. The indents for the lens wrench did not fit a standard Schneider lens wrench. Some people have gotten good ones, but mine was full of burrs. See what a Rodenstock dealer can do or check with SK Grimes and see what shipping would be. These are tiny and shouldn't be more than a first class letter.

If you don't need it to be in and out of the lens board all the time, epoxy from your friendly hardware/auto part shop will hold the lens in place quite nicely.

Isn't Calumet in Europe as well? If so, perhaps they can help you. The stores I've dealt with here in the US have been terrific on finding old parts, especially the home store in Chicago.

In case you cannot locate any dealer in your country, you may try this excellent German shop:
