So are F-1's ready for purchase? Not that I am in any big hurry to replace my N-2.....

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah :o

7 or 8 weeks to wait for me !!!

Let me say my first impression. This camera is closer to N1 than N2. Weigh is 3 lbs 5.2oz or 1.51kg.
I believe it is lighter than N2.

Upgrade from N1: rear asymmetrical tilt with zero dent. ball bearing rail (same as N2).
Removed from N2: Rear swing mechanism, rail under the sliding shoe. This reduces weight.

Shape: The Shape of both Front and Rear standard is changed slightly, as bigger on the bottom, slimmer on the top. I consider it as exterior design change. I like it.

Wood: I believe it is Teak. Metal color Black.

Overall, I think it is another great camera from Chamonix, great for outdoor field use.

For those of you who is on the 6~8 weeks waiting list. It worth the wait. ;) I will post more photos.
