I wish to show some love for my Geronar lenses. I love the Cooke Triplet design which I believe the Gernonar is. The image signature is close to the famous Tessar design however the Tessar was considered an improvement over the Cooke Triplet.

I hope this thread will remain images only. There are numerous threads discussing at length the pros and cons of this or that lens design. If anyone posts an MTF chart I will personally hunt you down and take steel wool to your favorite lens (just joking, maybe)

To get things off to a start I am posting my image "Mother and Child". I created this image at Coos Bay Oregon. For further information on this image please visit my blog (http://blog.ericrose.com/?p=800).

I made an enlargement which will hang over our fireplace. See pics below for scale. The image is extremely sharp and very three dimensional.

Please add images created with your Cooke Triplet designed lenses to this thread.

I like my 210mm geronar and not just because it's cheap. This was taken with mine at f8:

This was taken with a 1920s (?) Aldis Butcher Anastigmat 5.75" f4.5 sunken-mount Cooke Triplet, probably off of a lf SLR.
