I've been building cameras for wet plate collodion and dag photography for a few years. I have recently come up with a new design; a modern version of plate camera. It operates and folds like modern film field cameras, yet it has a designated plate back and plate holder. Even though it looks similar to regular field camera, the difference lies in the extra mass to accommodate the large brass lenses and heavy glass plates.
This camera is perfect for the plate shooter who wants and strong, sturdy camera with a small folded footprint.
