View Full Version : Thoughts on what to do with the 2400 printer?

Thanks to everyone's advice, I got an Epson 3880 to replace the 2400, which had been driving me crazy the same way every inkjet printer drives me crazy: more time and ink spent clearing clogs than making prints.

I'm leaning toward selling it, just to get it out of here. It's hardly been used, but is an older model and is low on ink ... probably not worth much more than $100.

Another option is to flush it out (I have carts I can use for this) and revive it someday as a piezography printer. My hesitation is that it would cause me the same grief with the piezo inks that it did with the epson inks. In which case it wouldn't be worth it, and I should wait until I can justify a pro level printer for repurposing.

Does anyone have thoughts on the reliability / clog-resistance of this printer with k7 piezo inks vs. OEM inks?
