The other day I saw a listing for free darkroom equipment. I decided to check it out and will cut to the chase. I now have in my possession...free of charge... a Durst 139g with Arista cold light head; glassless holders. 7 lenses, kearsarge timer; a JOBO CPA2 with expert drums etc. a dozen 4x5 film holders, a big stack of trays a Salt Hill print washer oh and a Seal 16x20 dry mount press. Now it is just a matter of getting all this stuff set up and operational. Wow!

It pays to watch Craigslist, Kijiji, Freecycle, etc. That's how I got my Beseler 45MX with 3 Componons, and more recently a Combi-Plan tank with a very recent Rodenstock enlarging lens. The down side is that I now have 6 or 7 enlargers, none of which are presently in use.

Dang! Every craigslister in North Texas thinks their Beseler 23C is worth $800!

Memphis area sellers use a similar high valuation of darkroom equipment as well.

Most of my best DR stuff has come from Craigslist, but NEVER a deal of those porportions! Merry Christmas!

Craigslist - Madison, WI had a 4x5 Durst Laborator (don't remember the model), one lens (for 35mm), and miscellaneous darkroom gear for $100 within the last week. I was tempted but just don't want to get back into the darkroom. Anyone in the Madison area who's interested might check it out, I don't know if it's still available or not.
