I own a Wista 4x5 camera which I haven't used for a number of years.

I have a Fujifilm Quickload holder and I have only just read that Fujifilm no longer do the Quickload film.

I wonder what the alternatives are now Quickload film is no longer available?

Many thanks for your time.

Standard sheet film in standard double sided film holders.

Yep. Or buy a roll film adapter and shoot 120 film.

There is a very lightweight film holder system called MIDO. No longer made and difficult to come by. I started using it this past Summer. It took some getting use to it but overall I like it - it saved space and weight during long hikes. I will miss the Quickloads as well (still have a couple of boxes).

Many thanks for the replies.

Vick - how does 120 work with a 4x5 camera. Do you end up with 4x5 transaperencies or results similar to a medium format camera?

Vinny - do you kno where I might find a standard film holder and film for a Wista?

Google or search the forum for "roll film holder"
Same for "4x5 film holder" or ebay or b&h or calumet or samy's or badger graphic or freestyle photo.

With a roll film loader, you get the convenience of using roll film, but you get shots on 120 film, not 4x5.

You can get up to a 6x12cm panoramic shot on the film, if you get the appropriate holder.

I'm assuming it is the convenience of not loading your own sheet film that you want.

Also check out graflex 4x5 film holders. they are about as thick as 1 and a half regular film holders but the graflex 4x5 film holders will hold 6 sheets of film.

There is no replacement for Quickload. You either buy what's still left somewhere or move
on to an alternative method like one of those already described. A changing tent will work
but obviously causes some procedural delay. Mido holders are hard to find and frankly a bit
fussy, and they only save about 30% in wt and space. Rollfilm holders change to equation
significantly, but at least you can still use VC movements.
