Just to mention that the "V" entries are also included!

I have found it to be useful, but I have discovered the following:

- The serial numbers that Voigtländer gave to the America Organisation do create problems for identifying when some lenses were made. A quick check of the Voigtländer serial number, when it is engraved "American Voigtländer" will most often give a faulty date when using the main serial no./date table.

- Size numbers do not always correspond between the German and American models for the same series. German sizes like 0 and 00 become 1 and 2 in the American size engravings, so that German size 5 is the same as the American 7, for example.

- A few series, like VIIa, do not appear in VM.

- The "Euryskop" development (22,000 - 30,000) is covered better in Threads here! The discussion about a "Petzval with cemented rear lenses" in the VM is either
a cover-up from Voigtländer's side (Aplanat/RR patents) or from a visitor to Braunschweig who had taken too much of the the local beer.

I, too, agree with Math. The VM isn't perfect, but imperfect information is much better than total ignorance.
